Krystal Marie Ball

Krystal Marie, who was born on November 24 1981 is an American political commentator. She was a former political candidate and a television host at MSNBC as well as a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and former host of The Hill's Rising alongside Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball made it clear in May 2021 that they'd leave the show to launch their own show, Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar. Ball is a co-host alongside Kyle Kulinski on the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends. She has appeared as a guest on networks such as CNN, CNBC, Fox News as well as programs like Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball is currently married to Jonathan Dariyanani, as of 2020. Ball is able to attribute her new interest in politics due to her experience as pregnant during the 2008 presidential primaries, and watching the results of the 2008 US presidential election during her time in Jordan. She observed how it affected the citizens of Jordan and thereby gained an appreciation for the global influence of US politics. She was a Senior Fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party nominee for Congress in Virginia's 1st congressional district during the election of 2010, but lost to Republican incumbent Rob Wittman. From June 2012 through July 2015, she hosted The Cycle, an MSNBC show The Cycle. She established the People's House Project, an action committee that works for Democratic causes in May 2017.
