Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19 1965. She is an American actor and producer. She is most famous for her starring role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. For her portrayal of Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. Following the seventh season Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended on August 13th on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick, a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian and of English heritage. Sedgwick has openly declared her Jewish roots and stated that she participates in Passover seders.
